Starbucks is making Thursday a “yay day” with a special offer. On Thursday, October 26, Starbucks Rewards members have the opportunity to enjoy a 50% discount on any beverage.

This offer is valid from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Rewards members can access the deal exclusively through the Starbucks app, where the Yay Day coupon will automatically appear.

Customers can redeem the coupon when placing a mobile order or ordering in-person at company-operated stores and participating licensed stores in the United States. It’s important to note that the Yay Day offer is not available for delivery through Uber Eats or DoorDash.

Additionally, this special deal coincides with National Pumpkin Day, making it a great opportunity for autumn enthusiasts to enjoy a 50% discount on popular pumpkin-themed drinks like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, or the new Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte.

After two decades of serving the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL), which is crafted with real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, whipped cream, and pumpkin pie spices, Starbucks decided to create a new beverage inspired by customer innovations.

The outcome is the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte, which blends chai tea with pumpkin cream cold foam and a sprinkling of pumpkin spice.

In addition to the updated version of the PSL, Starbucks has also unveiled the new Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. This beverage features a blend of blonde espresso, apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar, all shaken together and topped with oat milk.

Although the Yay Day coupon can’t be used for food, Starbucks Rewards members can still complement their handcrafted drinks with a range of seasonal food items. These include the baked apple croissant, the pumpkin cream cheese muffin, and the owl cake pop.

For customers who prefer iced beverages, they may notice a difference in their drinks. Starbucks announced in May its plan to gradually introduce a change in the ice used in their signature drinks, starting this year and continuing over several years. The company is initially focusing on stores with a high volume of cold drink orders, which means that many stores will not adopt this change in the current year.

A spokesperson stated, “As we continue to innovate and invest in the Starbucks Experience for our partners (baristas) and customers, we are introducing new machines that produce nugget ice in select stores this year.” They added, “Customers who have had the opportunity to try nugget ice in our hand-crafted iced beverages during testing have responded very positively.”

A handcrafted drink refers to any beverage that is individually prepared by your local Starbucks baristas, including popular choices like the PSL, Frappuccinos, and more. The Yay Day deal is limited to one drink per Starbucks Rewards member and does not apply to bottled or canned beverages, or alcohol. It covers all standard menu sizes.

Starbucks emphasizes that the Yay Day promotion can only be accessed through its app and is redeemable at company-operated stores in the U.S. and participating licensed stores. The offer is not applicable to orders through Starbucks Delivers on Uber Eats or DoorDash.

Additionally, October 26 marks National Pumpkin Day, so customers looking to celebrate can make use of the Yay Day offer to enjoy a 50% discount on beverages like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, or Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte, as confirmed by a Starbucks representative.

In September, Starbucks introduced a BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal every Thursday, known as “ThursYay,” allowing customers to receive a free fall beverage, including the PSL and the new Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, with the purchase of another after 12 p.m. local time.
